More pics from the weekend

Another busy weekend

Haley got to spend the weekend with her Great Granny and Great Papa Kemp. Friday we went shopping all day, and Haley did really well. She had to be held a few times while we were shopping, but her great grandparents are suckers for a little baby so she was held more than she should have been. : ) Saturday we went to a BBQ for Papi at a park in Frisco( our new home in 2 days!). She just loves the outdoors!! We took her down the slide, but she's a little too young to know what's going on. It was still a lot of fun. We hung out at Grammy's house that evening, but didn't stay too long because Sean wasn't feeling well.

We all went to church Sunday morning. Haley really loves all the singing at church. She smiles and laughs the whole time. She took a nap during the sermon, and woke up at the end when all the singing started again. She's just such a cute baby! We went furniture shopping the rest of the day, and she napped through most of that. (We found a couch finally!!) All in all she did pretty well this weekend. I loved seeing my grandparents, and I know Haley loved seeing them as well.

I don't think I'll be able to write for a few days, because we are going to be moving. I'll write as soon as i can though, and let you all know how the move went!! We can't wait to get into the house. I'm so excited that Haley will finally have her own room. She needs a lot of space for all her toys.

Finally a good night sleep!

Haley hasn't been sleeping well at all this week. She wakes up only wanting to eat, and as soon as I put her back in her crib she starts crying. This has gone on all week except last night. I finally got her to stay awake during the day, and eat a little more before she fell asleep. It seemed to work, because she only woke up a few times. Thank goodness!! I've been like a zombie the past few days!

Not much else is going on. She's still trying to roll over, and when she's on her tummy she moves her little knees like she's trying to crawl. She wants to move so bad, but can't quite figure out how. She's making more and more sounds everyday. She gets pretty loud too! She loves to be outside so much!! We go on a walk everyday, and go sit by the pool or sit on the patio as well. She loves to look at everything. I love being outdoors so I'm glad she does too.

We are having a hard time getting her to eat her rice cereal. She doesn't like it when I mix it with the juice. She makes a face like she's gagging and spits it out. I usually just mix it with breast milk now, but she still only eats a few bites. I switched the cereal to oatmeal this week, and she seems to like it a little better. It's still a struggle though. She likes sitting in her high chair, though. So I guess that's good. : )

A weekend of outings

Haley had a full weekend of furniture shopping, restaurant eating, and mall walking! She surprisingly did pretty well with all the activity. Friday night we went to eat at a Chinese buffet with Grammy, Aunt Sheena, and Loren. Haley sat in her car seat and played with her toys for the first half of the meal. She got a little fussy so I let her sit in my lap. Well, then everyone around us was staring because Haley was talking, smiling, and laughing. She was quite the little show stopper. The waitress kept coming over and touching her cheeks. It was pretty funny.

Saturday we went to the mall and did a little furniture shopping (furniture looking is more like it). She loves being in her stroller outside, but for some reason she doesn't like being in it in indoor places. She did ok for a little bit, but Sean carried her most the time while I pushed an empty stroller. We left the mall, and she fell asleep as soon as we got her in the car (of course). We went to a few stores after that, and she slept like a baby the whole time. Saturday night we went to dinner and thought she'd sleep the whole time, but we were wrong. She woke up and again was a little show stopper. She smiled and laughed at all the people around us. She's just so cute!!

Sunday we met Josh and Courtney for brunch, and again she didn't want to sleep but play. She played with toys in her car seat for a while, then sat in mine and Sean's lap the remainder of the meal. She got a little fussy towards the end of the meal and fell asleep on my shoulder. She was so exhausted she slept through the rest of brunch, and the whole time we were in IKEA. She woke up right at the time we were entering the mall. She again was carried around most the time in the mall, while her empty stroller was being pushed by me. After that we figured she'd had enough of the mall!! We went to dinner Sunday evening thinking she'd be just as good as all the other times. Well we were wrong! She was pretty fussy, and just wasn't her cute little self. We both scarfed down our food (one at a time), and left pretty quickly. She flipped out the whole car ride home. I think she had a pretty busy weekend, and just wanted to be home.

With the exception of Sunday dinner she did pretty well all weekend. She's just so good, and so CUTE!! It's crazy how every time we take her places people are just in awe of how cute she is. It makes us feel pretty blessed at the end of the day!

5 months old

Haley is 5 months old today!! Man, time really does fly. I can still remember the day she was born like it was yesterday. She's just as perfect and beautiful as the day she was born. She's definitely a LOT more active, though. Last night she woke up about 3:00, and didn't want to go back to sleep. She was ready to party! Mommy of course was not. She eventually feel back asleep, but it seemed like I was up all night. I'm getting used to functioning on little amounts of sleep though.

Her pink eye is much better. Her last day of eye drops are today, and so far Sean and I haven't gotten it. I don't think we are going to get it if we haven't already. So that's very exciting!!

No big plans for the weekend just yet. I think we are going to go see aunt Sheena, Grammy and Papi tonight and maybe Saturday as well. If it's nice I'd like to take Haley to the pool. She went swimming for the first time last weekend in Houston at Grandma and Papa's houses. She liked it at first, and then some water got in her face. After that she was done with the water. We tried again the next day, and she did a little better. I want to keep her at it, though so she won't be scared any more. I think it's just the cold water she doesn't like, because she loves baths. Maybe we need to find a hot tub for her to play in! : ) She also really loves to go on walks. She loves being outside, and looking around. It's like she's taking it all in. It's so fun to watch her look at everything, and see things for the first time. She's just such a joy to be around.

Pink Eye!!

Haley was pretty fussy all last night, and that's usually not like her. Well, I woke up this morning and noticed some gunk in her left eye. I wiped it out, and when I brought her into the light a little more and I noticed her eye was pretty pink and puffy. Sean and I both agreed something wasn't right so I went ahead and scheduled a Doctors appointment. Well, it's pink eye. Which means more than likely Sean and I will be getting pink eye. I hope not, but the doc seems to think it's inevitable. So that's what we did this morning. She has eye drops, but it'll be contagious for 24 hrs. Oh, the joys of parenthood!

What she's up to:
She's been really trying to roll over lately. I have a feeling it's going to happen any day now. She's always trying to sit up when she's flat on her back as well. She's so strong it's ridiculous.
She loves to laugh, and talk(baby gibberish), and smile.
