Family comes to visit

Uncle Josh, Aunt Tiffany and Uncle Brett came to visit this past weekend. Haley just loved hanging out with everyone. She especially LOVED chasing Cali all around the house. (Cali being Josh and Tiffs dog!) She wanted to play with Cali so bad, but Cali wasn't having it. When Haley gets a little older I think they'll be best buds, but until then Cali is going to keep her distance. : )
Haley wants to touch Cali so bad in this picture. Look at that cheesy grin!!
She likes to pull up on everything she can. Sean was doing the dishes so Haley decided to help. She is always a big help when you're trying to get things done. (Insert sarcasm here :) )

We had a really good time with everyone. Haley just loves her Aunt and Uncles so much. She really loves her uncle Brett. He speaks her language!! It's too cute.

Not much else going on. She's just getting bigger everyday!

Dr. Moshier

Haley had her 9 month check-up with Dr. Moshier today. Everything looked good. She is a little short for her age, though. She's in the 3rd percentile for her height, and the 20th for her weight (which was 16 lbs.) They didn't seemed worried, so I guess it's alright. I mean, Sean and I aren't the tallest people either! :) He said she could start eating table food now. I told him about some of the finger foods she was already eating, and asked what else she could eat. He basically said anything we eat, "she can start eating good ole' Texas BBQ!" (He's funny!) It's going to be fun to see what Haley likes and doesn't like to eat.

She didn't have to get any shots this time (YEA!!), but they did have to do an iron test to make sure she isn't anemic. They pricked her finger and she cried for a second, and then forgot the whole thing happened. The nurse said everything looked ok, so that's good. Everything went well and we go back in November for her 1 year check-up. 1 year!! I can't believe how fast time has gone by!! Geez!

9 months old

Haley loves to sit with daddy and watch tv. She has really been into watching the Olympics. Maybe we have a future olympic gymnast on our hands?? : )

"Hey, Mom! Just hanging out with Daddy!"

Haley was 9 months old yesterday!! She's growing up so fast. Sean and I still can't believe we have such a cute and happy little girl. She is so wonderful and brings so much joy to our life. I love her more and more each day.

Haley is a baby who likes to be out and about. She does so well at restaurants! She just sits in the high chair, stares at all the people (who then come up and tell us how cute she is!), eats her food or plays with her toys. I'm so impressed at how well she does. Sean and I like to eat out on the weekends so we are both relieved that she likes to go out too!

Haley is starting to imitate things Sean and I do. She likes to make the same sounds and faces we make. It's real funny. She has such a little personality for a 9 month old!

Updates

This past weekend was the first time Haley and I have been away from each other for more than a night. Sean and I went to Austin to do wedding stuff so we left Haley with my mom and Tommy for the weekend. We left Thursday evening and came back Sunday afternoon. I shed a few tears here and there, but for the most part it went really well. My mom said Haley did wonderful. She said she had a little trouble sleeping at night, but not being in her crib could've been the problem. I was so glad Haley did well and that my Mom and Tommy weren't too stressed by the end of it.

Haley's been a little off on her sleep schedule since we've been back. I think it has a lot to do with her top two teeth coming in. Once I give her some Tylenol she seems to do ok, though. I feel like she's a newborn again, because she's waking up 3 or 4 times a night!! I fell asleep while rocking her last night. I haven't done that in months. (My back isn't too happy about that move this morning!) Hopefully she can get back on track soon.

Not much else is going on. She's just crawling everywhere and pulling up on anything she can. She's learning the word "no" very quickly. : ) She's just a lot of fun to be around. Sean and I love to sit and laugh with her. She cracks us up and in turn cracks herself up. It's just such a fun and happy time in our home.
