I had to share this new picture, because I just love it so much!! She was saying cheese as I took it. I'll write a nice update later since Haley will be 19 months tomorrow. For now you can stare at the most beautiful baby in the world!! : ) (to me at least!!)

Some of our wedding pictures are on our photographers blog. If you guys want to go check them out here is the site. christinacarrollphotography.com/blog

Uncle Brett comes to visit

Haley loves to go in this tunnel on the playground, but she can't quite get to the top without a little help. Uncle Brett to the rescue!!

Just hanging out with "Bwett" as Haley would say.

Look at how she adores him! Too cute!!

My brother-in-law Brett came to visit this weekend. Haley looooved it!! It was so cute watching them play together all weekend. They both get each other fired up. If he starts jumping around, so does she. If he starts making funny noises, so does she (thanks for that one!) : ) It's just so nice that Haley has amazing Uncles and Aunts that care so much about her.

I'm back!!

Sorry for the long hiatus everyone! I don't recommend planning a wedding, taking care of an active child, going on a honeymoon, coming home to take care of a sick child, and then being sick yourself to anyone!! (Especially in less than a one month span!) : )

The wedding was amazing, and everything was beautiful. We had a great time with all our friends and family. Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. That's what we really wanted. The weekend was pretty hectic, though. It was hard to not see my baby as much as I wanted. I felt like I barely got to spend time with her, and that was really hard for me. Especially since I knew I wouldn't see her for 4 days.

Monday morning we went to the airport fairly early, and Haley rode with us. I was already in tears just thinking about leaving her. I'm sure my fear of flying only escalated the situation more! I kissed her good-bye and left with such a heavy heart. I've left her before (numerous times), but never this long. I knew she'd be in good hands, but I just feel like no one knows all her little quirks but me. It's a mom thing I'm sure, but you never feel like anyone can do a good job with your kid, but you. Once I talked to my Mom for reassurance I calmed down a little. Until I got on the plane of course! : (

We got to the Excellence Playa Mujeres about 4:00 and it was just amazing! Words can't describe how beautiful this place was. They treat you like royalty there. We spent the whole time planning our next trip back if that tells you anything. Tuesday morning after stuffing our faces at the HUGE breakfast buffet, we called Sean's parents (I guess I can say in-laws now) to check on Haley. They said she's being a perfect angel. They were taking her to the zoo later that day. It was so nice to hear that she was doing well.

We didn't check back in until Thur. when she was with my Mom. I called her in the morning and the first thing she said was, "Now don't worry...". Oh, great! How can you start a sentence like that when I'm hundreds of miles away?!? She said Haley had started to get sick Wed. night and decided she'd go ahead and take her to the Dr. just to get it checked out. When I called she was at the Dr. about to go in, so I said I'd call her when they were done. What a horrible feeling! Know your little girl is sick and you aren't there. I called back and she said Haley had an ear infection in both ears. The Dr. wrote a prescription and told my Mom to tell me not to worry. Ha! He must not know me that well. I'm a worrier!! My mom assured me she'll be ok, and she'll pick us up the next day at the airport.

Friday morning was bittersweet. I wasn't ready to go, but all I wanted to do was get home to my sick baby. I loved every minute of our honeymoon, and I can't wait to go back. After our 3 hour flight we were back in Dallas waiting to see our sweet little girl. We walked out the terminal doors and this little curly-haired girl came running towards me. I dropped my bag and swooped her up in my arms. I felt the tears coming as I held her. She looked so big. I didn't want to let her go. Sean came up and she went to him right away hugging him saying "daddy, daddy". We were home, and all was as it should be.

The next couple of days were rough to say the least. Haley didn't sleep at all that first night back. She was in pain and we couldn't do anything to comfort her. It was horrible. She was very clingy (which is understandable), but it made it impossible to do anything. Her ear pain stopped that next week, but she was and still is a little clogged up. She's learned how to blow her nose, though. Both good and bad. Good, because she can get all the snot out and she won't be so clogged up. Bad, because now she says "blow" and just blows snot out on everyone and everything. If I don't have a tissue handy snot's everywhere. You should see our couch! yuck!

Last Thursday she had her 18 month wellness check-up. Everything went well for the most part. Everything is great with Haley. She's petite (obviously), but developmentally she's reaching milestones in the 2-3 year old bracket. The Dr. was very impressed with her speaking skills. The only thing that wasn't so great was her mood while we were there. She was still a little sick when we went to the Dr. which does effect her mood. For the first time EVER she was crying the whole time she was getting examined. Even getting weighed freaked her out. She clung to me the whole time. I felt so bad. Then of course the nurse came back in to give Haley her shots. It was not a fun Dr. visit. I was covered in snot, tears, and drops of blood by the time we left. The not so glamorous side of motherhood.

That evening Sean, Haley and I went to the opening of the Frisco Whataburger. Not kidding! : ) My husband (that's weird to say) loves his Whataburger so much that he forgoed his healthy weekday eating for a hamburger and fries. We went to the opening, and took a few pictures as you can see above. Haley was loving it as much as her daddy.

Memorial Day weekend was spent doing chores around the house. Now that the wedding is over Sean and I are real excited to start decorating our house. We've been here a little over a year so I thinks it's about time! : ) Monday we decided to go to my Mom's pool since we hadn't really done much with Haley since we've been back. She loves the water so much. It was great just hanging out. Well, Tuesday morning we wish we wouldn't have gone. She was clogged up again. I think it was too soon to take her swimming. I almost think she has allergies, because one day she was sneezing a lot, her eyes were watery, and her nose was runny.

I started to feel sick that week as well. I think her I and just pass germs back and forth. We both are finally feeling better. She's getting back to her fun happy self. Thank goodness!! She has definitely learned the art of whining, though. I thought it was just a symptom of her being sick, but it seems to have stuck around a little bit. If she doesn't get what she wants she throws a little fit. For a little tyke she sure can throw a BIG fit. One day I wouldn't let her have a "pos", aka popsicle, and she went in her toy room and started knocking over toys while crying. It lasted a few minutes (I just watched from the doorway), and when she was done she looked at me and I asked, "You done?" That started another two minute knocking over toys fit. A few minutes later she came over to me (I was sitting on the ground in her room at this point) and gave me a hug. And that was the end of that. I just hope that wasn't a glimpse into her teenage years! : )

Well, I think I've written enough for today. I promise to be better about blogging. Life has finally settled down. I'll get some more pictures up as well. Have a great day!!
