What a Christmas

We had such an amazing Christmas this year. Haley was so much fun! She loved looking at Christmas lights, watching Christmas movies, eating Christmas goodies (we've got a chocolate addict on our hands!), and all the presents. The holidays are so much more fun when a kid's involved. Everything is so exciting and new to them. Seeing that joy in her eyes when we talk about Santa and his reindeer just makes me remember what it was like when I was kid. I love that she loves Christmas as much as I do.

I'm glad the busyness of the holidays is over, though. I feel like we've been going non-stop for months. Now that we won't be traveling as much, we can finally start focusing full time on Haley's potty training. She likes to sit on the potty, but that's about it. Every once in awhile she'll let me take her diaper off and sit her on her potty, but nothing ever happens. She just likes to sit there and read! : ) I'm hoping she'll have it down in the next few months. Crossing my fingers!!!

Haley's started crawling out of her bed again. When we got back from Houston I woke-up Monday morning to her crawling in bed with me. I thought it was just a fluke, but every morning since she's done it. She wouldn't lay in her bed for her nap either. She kept getting out every time I'd put her back in. Last night she came in our bed early in the morning. She doesn't cry or make a sound so I don't hear her until she's in bed. Not sure what to do about this. I guess it's time for a big-girl bed. Just one more thing to work on with her for the new year. It's never dull at our house!!

Haley got to ride her first pony. She loved it!

Meeting Santa

Waving to Dad while on her potty. This picture just makes me laugh!!

We have more picture but I'll save those for a later date. Hope everyone has a great New Year!! We love you all!!

pictures

Here are some pictures of the past month. Sorry for being a bad blogger, but we're just so busy right now. One of my new years resolutions is to be a better blogger! I'll try to get in a detailed blog in the next week, but for now PHOTOS, PHOTOS, PHOTOS!!! : )

Halloween

Hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween. Tinkerbell loved trick-or-treating. She would say "trick-or-treat" "thank-you" and "bye" at every house. A few times she'd say "bye" and blow kisses as she walked away! : ) She was too cute!!

Last shot of the night. She doesn't look too happy, but she did enjoy herself. She wanted to go trick-or-treating again last night. When I told her Halloween was over she was a little upset. We'll probably have to pretend to go trick-or-treating for a few days!!

They grew up so fast

My sweet little girl is almost 2!! I can't believe how fast it has gone by. It makes me want to cry. She's becoming more beautiful, intelligent, and smarter every day. It amazes me how fast she learns things. She is talking all the time. And I mean ALL the time. "What's that mommy? What's that noise mommy? Where's the pumpkins? I wanna see the pumpkins. Come on mommy!!" : )

Haley loves to play with her pumpkins we got at the pumpkin patch. It's usually the first thing she wants to do when she wakes up. She likes to pick them up, bring them to me, and then take them back. She also hugs them and kisses them as if they were babies. She has such  an imagination. We have scarecrows outside as well, and she likes to say hi to them and give them kisses too!

Haley is all about her baby dolls these days. She loves to rock them, feed them, push them around in a stroller, and change their diapers. Sometimes she'll even toss them down the stairs and then ask them if they are ok. "Baby? You ok?" She'll rush down and ask them again, "Baby? You ok?" She'll then pick the baby up and give it a kiss and say, "All better." : )

Haley is so much fun to be around. She keeps Sean and I laughing. Even when she's being bad, she's being cute (It's very frustrating!). We tell each other all the time how hard it is to have such a cute baby !! : ) We are so lucky!

Another belated blog

It's been awhile since my last blog. Oops!! I'll post a lot of pictures and hopefully I'll be forgiven. : )

Here are our pictures from the pumpkin patch. We wanted to get some good family pictures and some good ones of Haley too. Well, that didn't happen! I mean we got some fun ones of her, but I don't think she's looking at us the entire time! She was having too much fun. She wanted to pick up (and throw) all the pumpkins. They had some baby animals there as well, and that just distracted her even more. It was still a lot of fun and we created some good memories. I'll do an update of all the things my little toddler is doing another time. For now just pictures.

Sean likes the picture below so I'm putting it up. I look silly but whatever! Ha!

Haley's first pumpkin

If you can't tell it was sooo windy when we went. Haley's hair was even more crazy than usual. It was a lot of fun, though. I can't remember the last time I'd been to a pumpkin patch. I love making our own family traditions.

I've been meaning to write this for a while, but since my blogs have been lagging I haven't had the chance. I wanted to say how blessed Sean and I are that Haley has amazing grandparents. My mom, who lives 15 minutes away, is always ready and willing to watch Haley. Whether it be for me to run errands, Sean and I to go out, or if I've had a rough day. She'll even keep her overnight if we need her to. We feel so lucky to have her. Sean's parents live in Houston and I know that's hard for them, but they always make up for the distance when we are together. Haley is always showered with love (and gifts) when they are around. : ) This past weekend they came all the way up from Houston just to babysit Haley for Sean and I. We are so grateful that our little girl has such loving grandparents. We appreciate everything you guys do more than you know. Haley is very lucky!
